About Collette
collettework

Collette works in gold, sterling silver and copper, and personally hand-selects gemstones to go perfectly with each piece.

Collette Fortin entered jewelry creation after a successful career in fashion design. She returned to the Fashion Institute of Technology, in Manhattan, where she had previously received her Bachelor's degree in fashion design, and graduated summa cum laude in Jewelry Design in 1994. Collette then began an eighteen month apprenticeship with the famous goldsmith, Marne Ryan.

Collette Fortin has been handcrafting jewelry for more than 10 years. Her fresh and unique designs are carefully styled to complement your own individual spirit. From Mayan Glyphs to modern designs, you're sure to find something you love in Collette's extensive collection.

Neptune Hot Glass

In 2004, Collette began an apprenticeship with Neptune Hot Glass in Neptune, Ohio, working with glass artists Scott and Berry Davis. Neptune Hot Glass’ signature pieces are solid glass artwork with oceanic themes.  Collette became a partner in the company upon Scott Davis’ untimely death in October 2005.  She has been creating pieces that incorporate some of her jewelry, and they have been very well received.

Although she has undertaken this new medium, Collette still continues to design and make her signature jewelry. She will participate in numerous art shows where she will exhibit and sell her jewelry.  Collette also plans to show both her jewelry and glass at other shows and, occasionally, she will exhibit only her glass art work.
